Although Jewish law specifies that a child born to Jewish parents is Jewish, if just the father is Jewish and the mother is not, the child is not considered Jewish in any sense. (The Reform movement recognises children born to a Jewish man and non-Jewish woman as Jewish IF they were raised Jewish).

Yes, but only if one of your parents is a Jew, but the other is some other religion, like Catholic. However, according to the Jewish religion, eiher you are Jewish or you are not. If your mother was Jewish, you are Jewish. If not, you are not Jewish. It all goes by the mother.

1) You're "born into it;" or

2) You convert according to Jewish law.

Judaism does not actively proselytize, but it is open to well-meaning converts.
