Its quite unusual to be pregnant and still get your period because if you are pregnant the egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus, so nothing comes out as blood. It solely depends on how the blood comes out, if the blood is a lot, then there are good chances of it being your period, but if its a little then you could be pregnant, because this condition is called spotting. Whereby a woman sees little blood when she is pregnant, i think this has to do with the linning of the uterus. To be on the safe side take a first response test 10-12 days after conception, and about 3 days after this again, just to be extra sure.

If you are pregnant, you are NOT having a period. If you are experiencing any bleeding it is referred to as "vaginal bleeding" and is not caused by your period. It is caused by something else that is usually very normal to something that could potentially be very serious. Take a pregnancy test to see if you are, in fact, pregnant. If you are, then view the related question below that can explain why you are experiencing vaginal bleeding and what you should do about it. The bottom line is that you should confront your doctor about any vaginal bleeding that you incur during your pregnancy down to the very last detail. Then your doctor can evaluate it and try to determine the cause for it (although usually it is difficult to do so).

If you are pregnant, there are other symptoms that you may or may not experience. Softening of the cervix (your doctor looks for this as well as other visible symptoms below the belt), sore or tender breasts and/or nipple, headaches, nausea, a bloated feeling (like during your period), fluttering in the lower abdomen/pelvic region, vomiting (morning sickness), feeling hot, feeling tired, feeling unusually hungry (or appalled by food from morning sickness), other heightened senses (namely smell that may or may not affect your nausea level depending on what you smell) and many many more.

Women don't actually have periods while they are pregnant. Women often exprerience irregular bleeding and/or spotting during pregnancy which may make women think they are having a period when they really are not.

If you're seeing your period, than I'm quite sure that you are not pregnant.
