HIV can NOT be transferred through casual contact like sharing cups, cigarettes, or eating utensils. Although the virus is said to exist in all liquids of an infected persons body it is not transmittable through these means. HIV is usually transferred through unprotected oral, anal, and vaginal sex or sharing needles. It is transmitted through blood to blood contact or sexual contact.
