Yes, just fine. Just be sure to use student grade (low quality) paints instead of artist quality. The artist quality ones have a more rubbery texture when dry and tend to peel off. Mix any color and use a clear topcoat to seal it (necessary). Be careful with yellows and Oranges, they're more likely to stain your nails if you have them on for long periods of time. To prevent any staining, use a base coat to protect your nail.

Acrylic nail polish? Do you mean "acrylic overlay"--a real thin layer of acrylic over the natural nail, just to give your nails strength? You can put Shellac on acrylic overlays. That's probably the only way to deal with Shellac. It is a very hard product--much harder than a natural nail, and if your nails flex (which natural nails do) the Shellac cracks. Acrylic nails are also very rigid, so the Shellac should work fantastic on them.

Yes, and it wont chip that's the best bit. But when you are removing the polish remember you must use an acid-tone free nail polish remover. this is because the acid tone in the remover can dissolve the acrylic if the nails are left to soak in the remover. so remember ACID-TONE FREE NAIL POLISH REMOVER, and work away new colours every day....

Do you want to have acrylic nails that have all-over color instead of just the tips? Let's put it this way: you CAN do it but you shouldn't; you'd have to soak your nails off to change the color.

The way to do the same thing without having to soak off your nails is to have an acrylic overlay done, and paint it with gel polish like Shellac or Gelish.

Yes you can but if the tips are thick it will look a bit uneven. But if you get the FULL nail with tip you can totally just use regular nail polish on the nail.

Yes just go easy on the acetone, acetone will break down the acrylic if left on too long.
