If you are talking about a new piercing the answer would be no. You need to wait for the swelling to settle down (about 14 days) before changing the jewellery in a new tongue piercing. Then you should see your professional body piercer to have then change it for you to ensure the piercing is healing without complications.
No. That's just asking for an infection. You have to wait for your piercing to fully heal before changing jewelry. The piercing would most likely swell again after you put in different jewelry bc you messed with it .
Of course you can. But it will heal over very quickly and trying to switch out jewelry that early will be both difficult and dangerous. If you want to keep the piercing, don't remove the jewelry.
If it's to get a step down jewellery piece then do so with assistance of your piercer, if you are doing it because you just want to change it, don't you will damage the new tissue your body is working hard to form. Average light heal for almost every piercing is 6~8 weeks
You're not supposed to change a fresh tongue piercing for two weeks. Tongue piercings are among some of the fastest healing piercings, but you don't want to change it too soon. If you change it too soon, chances are it will swell up again. If you put a shorter bar in your mouth, it will not be able to handle the swelling. I would recommend waiting at least a week and a half, but two weeks is best.
yes!
There is nothing you can do. You pretty much have to wait until you pass it. If you do not pass it within 3 days, see a doctor for some X-rays, it may be caught somewhere.
3 or 4 weeks. It's important that you change to a short barbell.
3 days to 2 weeks
About 3 days max.
the white ring around the ball is normal ,hatt doesn't really matter.the big white sore under you tongue is most likely from eating dairy products, youu are not ment to be eating yogurt, cream, ice-cream or dirnk milk and dtuff like that.go back too the place you got it pierced at and justt dubble checkk whatss happening with it.
Yes it is because since your mouth contains so much moisture, it heals faster than expected than other body parts... I should know because recently, I bit my tongue and a piece of my tongue came off, and it only took 3 days to heal... I also skinned my knee and it took 10 weeks to heal, while my tongue took 3 days... So yes, your tongue IS the fastest healing source in your body.
usually 3-6 months.
Yes, but best to have the piercer show you how first.
That is a discussion you should be having with your professional body piercer.
It hurts a lot as it's happening - more than it hurt to get my helix. It stung a lot for about 2 hours after, and was sore for 3 days. It was mostly a dull ache. For about 2 weeks it was difficult to get used to eating and I bit my tongue quite a bit. I switched to a shorter bar and it was much more comfortable. Now I can't even feel it unless I think about it (I've had it 9 months).
