You will have to call Browning to get it lettered You have a 1990 Citori. The last 3 numbers on the Citori describe the grade, among other things. Recheck the last 3 number (653) as I think it is wrong. Need serial number to date most any firearm. Check Browning's website under Support, then date your firearm. Value is determined by condition of firearm, and area of the sale.
It's a 1975. In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by on of the following codes: H=12 ga. N=20ga. Later the code was changed to J=both gauges This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 00001. Example: 00001H37 = A 1973 Citori 12 ga. shotgun with a serial number of 00001.
