If that is canned, shelf stable soup, the date is a best-if-used-by - not an expiration. If the can is in good condition and has been stored in a cool, dry area, the soup may be OK to use. If any seams have been compromised or the ends are swollen, throw it away.

The expiration date is essentially the best used by date, meaning that the taste and nutritional value of the food will begin to degrade. The potential of canned foods that have been processed in the US causing any health problems for the consumer before, on, or after this use by date is remote.
The US Army proved this time and time again before switching to MRE's. The old C Rations had a shelf life of decades, and I along with many other soldiers ate canned C-Rats that were older than us when we consumed them.
