Nope ... it's a "gotcha" thing. VW does the same thing ... in both cases, they use a proprietary formula to create specific ingredients that are quite different from normal anti-freeze commercially available. They claim the use of any other type of liquid in the coolant system will do considerable damage ... I don't think anyone wants to find out yet if that is really true ... maybe you do and will report back to us here.
its located under the reserve tank...and if that is not working and you are for sure the you will have to replace the whole tank by dealer or maybe find on-line somewhere!
ford premium gold coolant , also mask the dealer about the diesel coolant additive
BMW coolant from dealer. It is blue in color and can be purchase fairly cheap at any BMW dealer ship. Around $20 for a gallon. Hope this helps.
I have a 2003 that has that same problem. After dealing with this issue for a year, I finally took it to the dealer and they determined that it was the coolant cap. So they installed a brand new cap and the coolant light hasn't come on since it was installed, just over a month. Another possibility: The sensor in the coolant reservoir has been known to go bad according to Mazda Parts Dept. The sensor and reservoir and sold as one part. I replaced mine and the light went off.
See a dealer
Dodge dealer, most parts stores.
G12 You have to get it form the dealer
You can use universal coolant which you can find in any auto parts store, or you can use a coolant for Japanese card, or you can go and get coolant at a local Toyota dealer.
HOAT type coolant. Buy it at the dealer or the only HOAT aftermarket coolant I am aware of is Zerex GO-5 in the gold container.
I recommend you go to your local Honda dealer and purchase Honda Long Life coolant.
Audi uses PINK in color coolant... it has to be G12 get it from Audi or VW dealer shop. Don't get fooled by those universal coolants.. get manf. recommended. I got 1 gal pink color coolant G12 from California Audi dealer $22.00 + tax. it is a concentrated coolant so if you plan to mixed 50% you will get 2 gallons.
Dealer? Salvage yard?
It is red. I would not take any chances of using the wrong coolant. Purchase the coolant at your local Toyota dealer and you will be 100% sure you are using the right stuff. You only need to replace the coolant every 3 years.
Our Tribute is doing the same. Anyone help? It can be the sensor or have the cap checked out. The caps in these go bad. You can replace the cap/container (sold as one unit), or try putting in approximately 1 qt of coolant above the full line (sometimes this works). the floating ball sinks and the sensor goes on to make the light come on there ios a recall for this bring it to your Mazda dealer

Ask your local mechanic or car dealer, they have the real answers.
The Dodge dealer of course, but you can also use Zerex G05The Dodge dealer of course, but you can also use Zerex G05
Unfortunately, our Passat's have a specialty coolant that is branded as G012. Usually when you walk into an auto place, if you tell them it is the pink stuff then they know. You cannot mix a "universal" coolant with it, however if you ever have your system flushed you can start over with universal coolant although it is not as good for your car but it is not bad. I recommend going to the dealer to get the coolant as, surprisingly, it is cheapest there from what I have found.
Take it to dealer and hope they do it correctly, There is a plug on bottom of radiator loosen and it drains coolant out of radiator, but not out of engine, There are plugs on the side of the engine block that have to be removed to drain coolant out of block. Probably impossible to get to and accidents happen, sorry I hope this helps some.
