You can get a kit that comes with a spray (Just water) and little plastic rollers.
DO NOT heat the hair, use human utensils on the hair, such as curling or straightening irons, blowdryers, brushes (mini brushes are okay but not ideal) or use any product in it other than the mist provided in the kit. Essentially, just follow the instructions.
It comes with a book telling you exactly how to do this. I'm not sure if they even have the roller kit anymore, that was 6 or 7 years ago.
I'm pretty sure how you do it is you put small sections of the doll's hair into rollers - the smaller the sections the smaller the curls will be) Once the hair is secured in the rolls spray lightly with the mist it comes with, or with a spray bottle filled with JUST WATER. Leave it for about a day or so, then the doll's hair will be curly.

One of the most risk-free ways is to damp down the hair, brush it out, damp it, brush it out, damp it, and then put it under very heavy books for four-ten days. if your doll has curls this will take them out okay turn your straightener on 1 then pin the hair up and each time your done with layer let down a new one. get the bottle and spray the strip of hair till its damp then straighten it sizzling of the iron is okay. then when the hair is dry if its strait your done or if you want it straighter wet it again do the same thing until done hope this helped :D
