In most cases, there should be no problem in having your wisdom teeth extracted while you are still wearing braces.

This is usually done when there is an infection on the wisdom tooth, or when the extraction is indicated to help with the orthodontic treatment.

After having had braces, for four years, the orthodontist told me which teeth had to be extracted PRIOR to the braces being put on. The extraction sites had to then heal, before the braces could be applied. Working around braces is so difficult, that normal dental cleanings and flossing can NOT be done.

Having you widsom teeth pulled would not affect getting braces. Normally braces are used to straighten the front teeth. Besides, your widsom teeth are in the very back of your mouth, you probably would not have even had the braces go that far back.

no, your wisdom teeth wont stop you from getting your braces, the only teeth removed before getting braces are baby teeth. although getting wisdom teeth removed when theyre coming in is necessary, and if not then straightened teeth can be moved and pushed by incoming teeth, and crowding the mouth.

Yes you can get braces having wisdom teeth, and the wisdom teeth will not get brackets put on them but it is best to get the wisdom teeth removed with in at least the first year of having your braces to avoid your teeth not being able to shift correctly
