It is possible to get chlamydia from infected saliva, but not very likely. Chlamydia pneumoniae (not an STD) can be transmitted by saliva. but generally chlamydia trachomatis (the STD) is spread primarily through sexual contact with an infected person, even if that person has no symptoms; it can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. It is also transmitted in some cases from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth. The CDC reports that even when chlamydia infects the throat, it's not clear how likely it is to transfer. Some studies suggest that a male is as likely to get chlamydia from receiving oral sex as he is from insertive anal sex, but the study size was relatively small.

You can get type 1 herpes through saliva.
Yes it is possible because the viral shedding can be shedded anywhere through the infected persons Body.

It mostly spreads through bodily fluids even when there is no out break.

syphilis is transferred by contact of a syphilis sore. the sores can be located by on the lips and in the mouth on the anus and vagina and penis. if you kiss a person with syphilis you can contract the disease but the saliva its self does not carry the disease.
Syphilis is a bacterial infection that is spread through direct contact with a resulting sore. These sores can be found around the genitals, anus and mouth. Similar to other STD's such as Chlamydia, a person that has syphilis can not show any symptoms or the symptoms can go unrecognized. You can transmit this disease during stage 1 and stage 2 when the sores are present. You can search for std testing centers near you for proper consultation >> http://www.bing.com/search?q=reliable+safe+confidential+simple+std+testing+nationwide&go=&form=QBRE&qs=n

Saliva is usually not a high risk bodily fluid for transmission of HIV, however, if a person has gum disease and there is bleeding in the mouth, then the saliva can be contaminated by blood, and can carry HIV.

Can a person get ocular herpes if a person who has herpes spits in his eye?

Not likely to happen, herpes isn't passed by just saliva. If this person kissed you on or around your eyes while they had a cold sore then you have a higher chance of gettig ocular herpes.Herpes isn't passed through just saliva, so NO you wouldn't get ocular herpes from that. Some one would have to give you a kiss around your eyes while they had a cold sore in order for you to have any chance of that happening.
