Yes, nausea and even vomiting in the mornings can be caused by other things. One of the most likely is low blood sugar. While sleeping, you are not taking in any food or calories but your body is still using them up. So, some people's bodies are not properly regulating blood sugars and the levels may go too low at night. This is also what causes many women who have morning sickness in pregnancy to have those symptoms. If you eat five or six small meals during the day, with the last one of them prior to bed being mostly protein, you can keep your blood sugars more even, which may prevent the morning dips in blood sugar levels and those associated symptoms. Try also eating a saltine cracker first thing in the morning and follow that, when nausea has passed, with a well balanced small meal. Try to eat something every two or three hours during the day.

Another cause of morning sickness when not pregnant can be acid reflux disease, also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). This usually involves people who are overweight but not always and who frequently eat a large amount before going to bed. Lying down after eating can aggravate the condition, so it is usually advised that you not lie down for at least 15 minutes after a meal and eat small meals every few hours instead of large ones. In GERD, the valve that prevents food from backflow from your stomach back up into your esophagus, doesn't operate properly and food and stomach acids can move backwards into the esophagus and create heartburn and nausea and sometimes vomiting. If you also have hyperacidity of the stomach contents (often caused simply by what has been eaten), then this will also increase the likelihood of morning nausea and vomiting as it accumulates over night when not needed for digestion. This is a disorder that should be discussed with a doctor or other health care professional to determine what treatment, if any, is needed. GERD, in a few cases, can cause damage to the esophagus, so it is something that should be addressed.

Some women that take Birth Control pills or hormone replacement therapy products may experience morning sickness, even though they are not pregnant. This is brought on by the medications and will go away as your cycle progresses. One thing to note that is very serious about this condition is your health. Although morning sickness itself is not likely to make you ill, if you do not get the proper nutrition or the proper fluids, you can dehydrate. Therefore, if you are experiencing this condition, it is wise to talk to your doctor about it. He/she may just be able to help.

It is unlikely but not impossible if you are using a home EPT; every woman is unique and every pregnancy is different. Some of the HPTs won't read positive until you have a level of 100Iu/ml.

hCG is produced once the embryo implants in the uterine wall, 8 to 12 days after conception. The hormone level rises amazing fast. If you believe you are suffering from morning sickness, wait until your period is 3 days late, then use urine from your first void in the morning. There should be sufficient hCG to be detected, otherwise the beta hCG blood test picks up the tiniest amount .

Absolutely. Your levels of HCG may not be high enough to detect yet on a HPT if you are in fact pregnant or you could simply have a bug or virus.

How early can you feel morning sickness?

When does morning sickness start? Nausea and vomiting that happen during pregnancy in the first trimester, often called as "morning sickness". In most women, symptoms of morning sickness start in 5th to 6th week of pregnancy. When does morning sickness end? These symptoms are mild and go away after the 12 to 14 weeks. Symptoms include nausea or feeling sick, as well as actually being sick. Morning sickness can occur at any time of the day though it occurs most often in the morning because blood sugar levels are low after a night without food. Hormonal changes in the first three months are probably one cause. It can be one of the most tiring problems in early pregnancy. Could feeling sick but not having the morning sickness vomiting be a sign of being pregnant?

Absolutely! You can just be queasy or not feel any thing at all. If you are pregnant, the farther along you get, the more stable the increased levels of hormones get. One of the causes of morning sickness is the higher levels of hormones in your body. That is why pregnancy tests work better when not taken too early. Each pregnancy can also be very different.

Is no morning sickness a sign of probable miscarriage?

== == Actually, no. 25% of pregnant women do not experience morning sickness, and have entirely normal pregnancies. Most women who do not have morning sickness go full term without miscarriages. There are a few studies that show that having no morning sickness can be correlated to a higher incidence of miscarriage, but there are equal numbers of studies that say that there is no relationship between the two. Many people have said that morning sickness is an indication that the pregnancy is healthy, but nothing proves that lack of having it can be linked to having something going wrong, either. Get regular prenatal checks and talk to your health care professional to be sure that all is going well, and do not let yourself worry over something that probably means nothing, and for which many women would envy you. * Well, of course all women are different. But having morning sickness is my trademark. When I didn't have morning, afternoon or night sickness like with my other pregnancies, I did worry. I miscarried at 5 weeks. * Lots of women don't have morning sickness. * I didn't have it with either of my pregnancies. First time 'round I felt a little nauseated and off my food in the evenings. Second time 'round (with twins) I had no nausea at all. * It is absolutely correct that each woman is different, and may or may not have nausea or vomiting associated with being pregnant. I had it off and on, morning, afternoon, or night, throughout one pregnancy, and none at all with my other ones!
