Abortion doesnt make you chances of getting pregnant higher, the actual procedure, which is technicaly a D&C empties out and scrapes away the lining of your uterus which can make it more easier for an egg to implant next time. however one would like to think that if a woman wanted an abortion the first time, they would use their brain and use protection afterwards to aviod the chance of another unwanted pregnancy.
As for getting pregnant 3 days before a cycle... yes, that can happen especially with irregular cycles, as a woman ovulates 2 weeks before their next cycle, if you are irregular you wouldn't know when the next cycle is... so if you are haivng a late cycle, you might not ovulate till later.
