Not a good idea! Even if you tried breaking the pill so that the dosage was smaller, its very risky and very easy to end up overdosing the cat. If your cat needs treatment, get it to a vet who can prescribe medication that is safe for the cat.

∙ 14y agoNot without a vet. Amoxicillian is not usually the first choice for horses. But alot of antibiotics are in the same drug family. Any prescription medicine must come from a vet with written directions on how, when and how much to give.

∙ 15y agoNEVER give a cat a medicine that was prescribed for a human without specific instructions from a veterinarian. A dosage that is enough even for a child could be enough to kill a cat.
