i bet it is different from state to state but no you cant go to jail for expired tags you can get a ticket. but if your tags are expired and you put a year sticker that dose not belong you can go to jail for fraud.

go to the person where you got your license and ask if you can redo your license and you get it for another 4 years thats what i did.... but in hunting i havnt got my license in fishing but i am going to go get it very soon
yes, it is possible. It all depent on length of time between expired and stop on violation traffic. Usally if within 30 days, you can get ticket and have vehicle tow away (since it can't drive unless other person have good license to drive).
