It will scare them but you can hold them. Also if away from the mom they will squeal loudly and they can be with the male and if you can hold a baby and the dad guinea pig together they will get along.
Whenever, it depends how nice the mother is with nursing babies.
Rule of thumb, when the baby is moving around by itself, "Thats not to say you can't touch it", to pick it up, whatever the mother and baby are being held in, and the guinea pig has a lot of fur, you do not want to discourage the mother from nursing the baby. some mothers are very caring and some are ruthless when it comes to nursing. By your question it sounds like you have a caring mother guinea pig.
First of all, it's not recommended to put a baby guinea pig with it's dad, as the dad can get violent most of the time. If this happens, the best thing to do will be separating them for a while.
What if your Guinea Pig has just had a baby - what call a vet or what?
Baby Guinea pigs are smaller and follow their mom around.
You can handle your newborn Guinea Pig after an hour. This will allow your newborn Guinea Pig to be very fond of you. But,you should not handle him too much, put him immediately to her mother for his good health.

Guinea pigs can stop nursing after several days but I reccomend allowing them to nurse longer as its an excellent source of nutrients that the baby will need to grow and stay healthy.
You can if they are a few days old but don't' handle when first born.
If they ever come into contact (which they never should) or if you handle the guinea pig, followed by the hamster without washing your hands thoroughly, yes.
yes they can but what would happen with the baby what if its squash
