Can you have dairy on gluten free diet?

In general dairy is acceptable for a gluten free diet. You have to be careful with products like yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheese spreads since some may contain gluten. Be especially watchful for modified food starch, which is often found in processed foods. Unless it specifically states that it is from corn, avoid it.

Many people who need to eat gluten free are also lactose intolerant. In that case, I would advise avoiding dairy.
