Well hysterectomy has a lot of side effects which in turn contribute to the changes that take place within your body physically, mentally and emotionally. The side effects that come with it are somehow a mixture of PMS, pregnancy and/or menopause symptoms. Normally after the uterus is removed, you will undergo a hormone imbalance in sense that your body will take time to get used to the fact that a particular organ (s) is missing. In this case concentration is shifted to other areas in your body which contribute to weight gain and or body shape changes. It may prove difficult to reduce the weight gain since it happens involuntary to your mind but with help from a doctor, a nutritionist or gym instructor, you can overcome it. Good luck.
