That's one opinion. Here's another:
You can spend a lot more than three hours answering questions on WikiAnswers and it not be lame at all! In fact, it can be a valuable learning experience, and can help others as well. It all depends on what you want to get out of your WikiAnswers' experience and how you spend your time here.
There are a lot of hobbies that consume many hours. Some people spend hours a day on Facebook, while others spend those hours in front of the Xbox. People read books for hours, watch reality TV, or work in their garden. While many of those are great hobbies, answering questions that people have asked is one that actually gives back to the "community" a bit. Spending a few hours here and there helps build up a source of knowledge that can help people all over the world. There is nothing lame about that.
