Can you just change the clutch on the ac compressor on 1995 eighty eight?

I am sure you can - but the clutch is abpout the same price as a rebuilt compressor. So last time i did this I bought the compressor, removed the cluth, and put it on my car compressor. I still have a compressor if I need one. Be sure your compressor is not locked up before you go buy anything.

1992 Oldsmobile eighty eight ac compressor won't kick on. Checked all fuses relay on the firewall and bipassed all pressure cut-outs. Have hot-wired the compressor and the clutch works. What is left?
When you hot wired the clutch the AC should have been working ok. Except for the air flow doors. The climate control computer controls the clutch so there is probably a problem with that. The computer may also control the doors that switch air flow from the heat coil air flow to the cooling coil air flow.
