I definitely say so. But not too serious. I am in middle school, and I just got my first boyfriend. It seems like it took forever for him to ask me, but he did, and I'm sure the same is true for kissing him. It'll happen if you both want it to. But like I said, not too serious.

However, there are some schools, particularly religious schools in some of the southern states of USA, which state in their school handbooks that 'public displays of affection', which would include kissing, are not permitted. Such schools usually have punishments for breaking this rule, which include 'paddling', which could beadministered to both the boy and girl involved in the infraction.
