you sure can, but why stop there? keep chipping and dig the dirt out and make a 30 ft deep pool. really you might get an inch if you try that, but you will lose the color of the plaster or quartz.
well not really, if there is a pool already existing then you can just either dig deeper or make it more spacious- but you actually cant change the size of it unless you want to totally rebuild from scratch and that's not easy either; not to mention how much money itll cost to renivate a new pool...and if you want to do that you have to be good at constructing if not then your going to have to hire a constructor which keeps pilling up more bills. if i were you i would just make the pool deeper and save you about a few thousand dollars; which indeed will make things a lot less expensive. i hope that i helped you out and the best of luck!^-^!
Yes you can.
You can only do this if you putting in a new liner.
You have to order the liner to the new demension of the pool.
We used triple screened masonary sand to fill the deep end, tamped in very well.
Also, we used sheet of plywood to protect the slope of the hopper when putting the sand into the pool.
And the pool had a sand bottom, not vermiculite.
Yes it can. It will require replastering afterward, though.
depends how much money you want to spend and how much water you want to waste .
