Can you marry someone incarcerated?

Yes, you can marry someone who is incarcerated. Different prisons have different rules. My husband is in GreenHaven Correctional Facility and we had to wait one year to get married. After six months of marriage, he put in a request for our "trailer", we had to wait for approval, once approved, you get a house visit (someone comes to your home to see how you live, your lifestyle etc.) from there, you will get a date. Our trailer will be the last week of July 2009 so we waited an entire year before we were given a trailer date, it took a total of two years but we will finally be alone for 2 1/2 days.
