Yes and this is actually a very nice color. Mix equal parts and the ash will neutralize any warmth given by the neutral medium brown.
Yes, it's OK to mix ash brown and medium brown hair color together. The ash will help neutralize the reddish tone that would normally appear if the medium brown color was used alone.
A Medium Brown is about a level 4 and ash is known as "A." Your local beauty supply store carries 4A hair color in either permanent, demi permanent, or semi permanent.
Yes, a medium ash brown hair color should cover a previous orange color. Since blue neutralizes orange, it's best to use a color that has a blue base.
With the target color being medium golden brown and the starting point is a medium orange, I would go with a medium ash color + 20 volume developer. If you used a medium gold or a neutral, these colors would add too much brass to that already brassy orange. After using an ash color, the hair may seem a little dark at first. Once it's washed a few times, it should be at about the target color.
nope i have done it once or twice
Hey there! I actually wanted to know the exact same question as you so, yeah! A light ash brown will neutralize red or brassy pigmentation in hairm, whether that's streaks, tones, or underlayers. A light ash brown is a light brown in colour with a hint of grayish tones in it. Not gray exactly but a very dull looking colour. However, meduim ash blonde falls under the blondes category with hints of blonde and brown but not a lot of gray, than light ash brown
I start with a medium tan colour and add brown to it till I get what I need.
I know what you are talking about because my hair has a lot of red in it. The ash brown should tone the red down. You could try one of the lighting shampoos to tone it all. I use one and like what it does.
Lightest Brown is a Level 5 and the darkest Blonde is a level 6. These can be mixed together for even lighter brown results.
I believe if you mix cinnamon and dark orange you get a medium reddish brown tint to hair.
I actually just did that. It turns into a reddish brownish. Not to bad. Cuz violet red is burgundy-ish. Which u didn't like AT ALL. So I got a ash brown n it turned reddish brownish. Way better!!
it's 1:1.5 (dye to peroxide) for the ash blondes :)
