make sure you defrost the turkey thoroughly,in the fridge between 0 -5 degrees centegrade,[this rule applies to all frozen meat including ground beef].You can cook the turkey any way you wish once it has been safely defrosted.remember to use defrosted meat as soon as it has thawed as it will develop bacteria quicker than fresh meat.

The only thing that is the same is that they are both ground and therefore have a higher chance for contamination (over steaks or whole pieces) and you need to cook them longer (higher temp.) Turkey and cow taste different, have different textures, fat content, etc. Just eat and compare for yourself! Salmonella is a problem with egg layers; chickens and turtles to name two, but turkey can also have this problem; not beef, unless added from an outside source.

Ground Beef is a leaner meat but ground turkey is a respectable alternative. Sometimes it depends on the dish.

Yes you can mix these together and it tastes good and has less fat than using all ground beef. I do this alot when making tacos or chili and no one knows I made them healthier.
