Yes you can; just make sure that the new location on the FRAME is free of paint and rust. some people install 2 ground locations especially if the bike only has a kick start. The diameter of wire is important also. 12 guage.

Remove the ground wire from the battery being very careful not to short the wrench out on the positive cable. You may have to reposition the battery to get to the ground wire terminal. Remove the positive cable and lift the old battery clear of the car. Reverse the removal process to install the replacement battery. The ground wire should be attached after the positive cable has been replaced. Be careful not to short out the positive cable with your wrench.
