Allow me to answer from experience....YES IT CAN. The chance is very small, from what I've read in the 1-2% range, but I myself am a child of pregnancy after tubal ligation. My mother had her tubes tied TWICE. After my brother was born she had a tubal ligation. Six years later she found herself pregnant with me. Upon having her tubes cut and burned further, the doctor said he had no idea how that could happen as everything looked still separated. Of course, you have to take the chances into the proper context; HIGHLY UNLIKELY, but entirely possible.

∙ 12y agoi had a tubal ligation in october of 99 and took a positive pregnancy test in July of this year 09. the pregnancy was confirmed to be in my uterus. the very next day i began miscarrying. my ob/gyn said at least one of my tubes must be open because it would be the only possible explanation for the uterine pregnancy.therefore he said my chances of conceiving again are obviously possible.

∙ 17y agoYes. As long as you have a uterus that can carry a viable pregnancy full term. If it's a reversal the odds of natural pregnancy are not real good. IVF is usually the fastest way to go.
