It is even possible to get pregnant during your period for some women. You get pregnant during ovulation. And every woman ovulates at a different time during the month. For most women it is not during their period. So, yes it it possible to get pregnant 5 days after. I would say wait until she is late to start her period and then do a home test. And from now on, if you aren't trying to conceive, use a condom or some other form of Birth Control; always. And 'pulling out' isn't a reliable form of birth control. Good Luck!
You betcha!!!! Sound like prime time to get pregnant!!! If your period is about 5 days long and then you said 5 more days after that..that is day 10...you could start ovulating on that day...and sperm lives in you for about 3 days. So even if you dind't ovulate on day 10, you still could get pregnant.

∙ 8y agoYes, it is possible to get pregnant five days after menstruation.
The average menstrual cycle is 28 days with ovulation at around day 14 and fertile cervical mucus from around day 7 - thus if you think menstruation is around 7 days, plus 5 days, that takes you up to day 12 of the menstrual cycle and thus during the fertile phase of the menstrual cycle. Everyone's menstrual cycle is different and unless you use Fertility Awareness Method you can't know when you're fertile or not, thus you must always assume you may be fertile so thus could fall pregnant.
If you are trying to conceive then use Fertility Awareness Method to increase your chances of conception, if you are trying to avoid pregnancy then use birth control. If you think pregnancy is a possibility then you can take a pregnancy test from 14 days after sex.

∙ 8y agoYes, a woman can get pregnant five days after her period.
It all depends on her menstrual cycle, but take the average 28 day menstrual cycle: a woman is most likely to be fertile days 7-16 of that cycle, thus five days after menstruation could be her most fertile day. The only way to know for sure when someone is fertile would be to use Fertility Awareness Method to track menstrual cycles on a daily basis, this is highly accurate.
If not tracking your cycle you won't know when you're fertile so you should assume that you could be fertile at any point, and thus use birth control to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

∙ 8y agoYes, ovulation can occur five days after your period.
It all depends on your own menstrual cycle, but lets look at the average 28 day cycle - ovulation occurs two weeks before menstruation, thus in a 28 day cycle that would be around day 14 so if you had a 7 day period that would mean ovulation 7 days after menstruation. So if your cycle is shorter than 28 days it's completely possible to ovulate 5 days after your period, certainly you'd be fertile at that point in your cycle - remember cycles change too, so even if you normally have longer cycles you could have a random shorter cycle. Unless you use FAM you can't know when you're fertile.

∙ 14y agoYes. Everyone ovulates at a different time in their cycle
cycles vary usually you ovulate seven days before the menses (period) starts.
You ovulate 14 days before your period starts. Therefore you ovulate on approximately Day 15 (remembering that Day 1 is the first day of your period).
When you ovulate depends on your menstrual cycle. You ovulate two weeks BEFORE your period, so how soon after your period you ovulate depends on how long your menstrual cycle is.
A women tends to ovulate 15 days after her period... it can be anywhere from 3 days b4 or 3 days after the 15 day! good luck
Yes you can ovulate after day 15, especially if you have a history of irregular periods.

they look at when you has your last period. you ovulate 10-15 days before you have a period and you can only conceive when you're ovulating.
