it depends on the game and the neighborhood they never are the same.
start/my documents/EA games/The sims 2 and in the sims 2 file you have others that keep the neighborhood and saved sims and other very important things. don't mess with the files unless you know what you are doing.
you have to package the sim. save it to your desktop or someplace that will make it easy to find. then click on the packaged sim and it will install it into your game.
If your game is crashing before it gets to the neighborhood screen, you need to open My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2and delete the 2-4 files. Leave all the folders alone.
If you bought The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, than the code should be in the package. In mine, there is a sticker inside, above the game CD.
If they were files that you downloaded from the web for The Sims 2 (mods, hacks, Custom Content) you can just delete them from the Download folder under My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2. If they were package files that were downloaded and installed using The Sims 2 package installer or original files that were installed with The Sims 2 game, you will have to reinstall the game. If it gives you an option, upon attempting to reinstall it, to repair the installation, you can try using that. Otherwise, uninstall and then reinstall it.
I think you use 'Custom Content' button on the sims 2 neighborhood. I am not entirely sure but i think this is how you do it. Source my own game.
you can exit the household and go into neighborhood view, then load the household again. or you could always restart your game. try checking if your computer meets all of the sims 2 system requirements.
It's probably freezing because when your in a neighborhood, the screen has to rotate for the opening, and the game itself by be out of room. If you look at the free space you have to use on the disk, it could say zero kb, which then i suggest you delete your entire sims game, and then start with a fresh disk.
Some files that you download you can install into your Sims 2 game by double clicking on the file you downloaded. The Sims 2 package installer will pop up and automatically install the file into the game. This installer is included and installed onto your computer when you first installed the game.Other files that you download, that are not .packagefiles, such as game hacks and mods, you must place in your Sims 2\Downloads folder, then you must go to your Game Options from within the game and choose Enable Custom Content and then restart the game. The Sims 2 Download folder is located in your user\My Documents\EA Games folder. If there is no Download folder under Sims 2, you can just create a new folder. Make sure you spell it right, or it won't find it.
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe is the original game The Sims 2, with the Nightlife Expansion Pack and Sims 2 Celebration Stuff Pack. The Sims 3 is the base game the Sims 3, no expansion packs or anything.
if i were you i would reload the sims 2 onto your computer. well at least the last one you installed
You don't do that in sims 2 only in the new game - sims medieval.
Well, Sims 2 and sims 3 it's a boy and a girl game. it is really cool.
Yes i have the sims, sims 2 and sims 3 and they all work fine
if you have The Sims 2 and The sims 2 pets, install the sims 2 first and yes you need all four discs and the game case with the code. Then you can install the sims 2 pets and you will also need the manual for the Sims 2 pets or the game case for the code to install the game.
the sim or sims go back to the neighborhood. they usually are in the the family bin.
no you cannot move sims to another neighborhood
1. The Sims 2. 2. the Sims 2 Stories. 3. the Sims 2 Castaway.
it has to be one of these to install it: sims 2 deluxe, sims 2 double deluxe, sims 2 holiday, and the sims 2.
Your computer may not meet the sims 2 game requirements.
You can only change the weather if you have 'the sims 2 seasons'. You change the season in the neighborhood in the corner to the left (up).
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe is a game that includes 'The Sims 2', 'The Sims 2 Nightlife', and 'The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff ' pack!
Yes, just get the PC game. But if your computer does not let you download it because it is working to slow then buy the sims games that are PC Laptop friendly (It will say that on the package)
