Sadly, no. DSi games cannot be played on the DS or the DSL. The DSi features games that are specifically formatted for it,and some can be downloaded from the DSiShop (online) therefore, the DSi can play all the DS and DSL games, but its games cannot be played on the older versions.

∙ 13y agoYES!! you can play ALMOST all ds games. there is an exception for games that require a gba attachment , although there are SPECIFIC dsi games such as System
Flaw , so you CAN'T play THAT on a ds/ds lite

∙ 14y agoWell , I have a DSi, and there are not any games out for the DSi yet. There are only plain, 'ol DS games out right now. But, if they ever do come out with DSi-specific games, I'm guessing that they won't work a plain DS or DS Lite

∙ 14y agoit depends what sort of card it is realy, if you have an R4 CARD for your ds
they don't work because there is a special type of R4 card for the DSi
but normal games like nintendogs or brain training work in a DSi.

∙ 13y agoIt depends which games, and which DS you are talking about. The DS and DS lite can play Gameboy Advance/Gameboy Advance SP games, but that's it. The DSI however, cannot play any other games.
