Well if you happened to copy the disc content onto your hard drive (this would take up several GB of space) you could access the game WITHOUT the disc (I normally do this with XBL arcade games). Unfortunately, you will have to rent, borrow, or buy the game again. :(

Yes. Download cod 4 No CD/DVD crack from the internet. Copy the crack and replace it with the original cod4 icon in your installation folder. That should work.

Note: Please back up the original icon first incase something goes wrong.

Only if the game is downloaded from Xbox Live Game Marketplace. If you install a game with its disc it will play from the hard drive, but the disc is still needed for verification.

How can you play Sims 2 without the disk?

Unless you have an expansion pack installed you will need the base game disk in order to play. If you do have an expansion pack any of the disks can be used to play.

No, it will only run with the game installed PLUS the disk in.

Yes you can but it has to be the last expansion you installed, for example if the last one you installed was Bon Voyage you use that disk to play.

Can you play games on the xbox 360 without the disk?

In general, no. You need the game disk to play an Xbox360 game. Of course there are games you can buy through the online marketplace, and some of those are the same games you can buy on disk. Obviously for marketplace games, you won't need a disk. The Xbox360 does have an "Install Game" option once you've inserted the disk. However, you'll still need the disk to play. Once installed, the game is able to load some features faster, but it does not eliminate the need for the disk. The other topic to bring up is console modification. Through a risky not-for-beginners modification process, it's possible to enable the Xbox360 console to play the games you backed-up to hard drive, without the disk. Be warned that modifying your Xbox will void your warranty, and may get you banned from Xbox Live.

How do you get games on your USB to work on your computer?

Install a game as usual, but choose to install it on the memory stick. Some games will then work on other PC's without installing them but you'll probably still need the disk. Some games, Like Half Life (the original) work without a disk, so I installed that onto a USB and I could play it at friends houses!

Can you play steam games without installing it?

How do you play a PC game without the having to insert the disk?

Buy your games from Steam at steamcommunity.com or from Direct2Drive.com. You can purchase and download your games instantly with these two programs. No disk required!

How do you start computer games withought the disk?

Some games require that the game disk be present in the drive to play. Other games do not require this. The only way to circumvent the need for the disk to be present is to go on the internet and search around for a cheat that will allow the game to be played without the disk.

Can a XBOX 360 arcade play games without a DVD Drive?

Yes and No. You would not be able to play games from a disk but you should be able to play games installed to your hard-drive, these hard-drive games would be limited to arcade and demo downloads ONLY. Any games you have installed from your disks (assuming you are connected to XBL and have the new update) would not be playable as the console needs the disk inserted to boot the game up. This is assuming the drive has broken and not actually been completely removed, In either case using your 360 is a bad idea and can only cause more damage, possible fire and electrecution risks would probably also be an issue.

When your game disk for 360 broke but you have the game installed onto the hard drive is there anyway to still play the game but not buy another disk?

Well if you have it installed then just try to open it and if you cant then you would have to buy the disk
