The range is 2.
To find range you simply subtract the highest and lowest numbers in a set. So that means to find two numbers with a range of 7, you must choose two numbers that are 7 apart. Some numbers with a range of 7 are:-3 and 40 and 73 and 10
The range of these numbers is equal to 88 - 79 = 9.
The range of a group of numbers is equal to the difference between the smallest and the largest numbers in the group.
The range of these numbers is 9 - 1 = 8.
The range is 9-4.5 = 4.5. The range is the difference between the highest and lowest numbers in a set of numbers.
There are potentially two ranges. You have the range that you want to do your checking on, the criteria, and the range you want to sum. That can be the same as the first range, like if it was numbers. So if you had a list of numbers and you only wanted to add the ones that were over 50 from that list, the range you were checking and the range you were summing from would be the same and the second reference to a range can be left out: =SUMIF(A2:A20,">50") If you had a list of days for a few weeks with numbers in the column beside them and you only wanted to add the numbers beside a particular day, say Monday, then the range you are checking and the range you were adding would be different, in this case the days are in column A and numbers in column B: =SUMIF(A2:A20,"Monday",B2:B20)
If this question is referring to adding (inserting) a column of data into a worksheet, it may cause unexpected results if the column was inserted withing a range being used to generate some kind of result. If this question is referring to adding (finding the sum) of a column including both numbers and text data, then the results could be unpredictable if some of the data appeared to be numbers when it actually was formatted as text. If this does not answer your question, please rephrase and post a new question.
Look at the row numbers to the left of the screen. If there are gaps in the number sequence (e.g. 1 2 3 7 8 9), the numbers that are not displayed represent hidden rows. In this example, rows 4, 5, and 6 are hidden.

Not sure what you are asking, but you can get to a particular column by using the GOTO function (press F5 key). If this does not answer your question, please ask another question that is more specific to your needs.
