Can you put a 1994 thunderbird motor in a 1996 thunderbird?
1994 TBird has an R134 system. You can buy charge kits at any auto parts store. How do you put freon in a 1994 Ford Thunderbird Lx coupe so that the air conditioner can work?
A 4g63 motor
Yes, you can put just about any motor in any vehicle, it just takes time, and knowelge (and money helps too). The 6.0L 367 is a pretty popular swap for the 88-98 Chevy/gmc trucks and SUVs If you mean a 96+ up motor, then no, 1996 gm introduced the vortec motor to the world and is not compatible with 95 and down applications, unless the computer and fuel systems are upgraded along with it. Is the engine for a 1993 Ford Thunderbird 3.8Lthe same as the engine for a 1994 Mercury Cougar Xr7 3.8L engine?
you can put a 5.0L and everything will be fine!! =]
Put the new motor mount bushing into the appropriate place. Put the motor mount retaining bolt in. Let the engine down from the jack. Tighten the motor mount bolt.
ford didn't put a 4.7l in a ford t bird the firing order for a 4.6L that they did use is 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8
motor is the same, transmission is diffrent... you need just the motor or you get a manual body but auto swap?
Yes it will fit.
According to the owners manual - 5.3 U.S. quarts ( 5.0 liters ) with filter change
It is possible, but there is a large difference in the dash/wiring/etc. Besides the dash, the wirhing harness for the dash as well as the harness for the motor and the radio harness will need to be changed.
??...i would say the kind that lubricates...??
In a 1996 Ford Taurus ( 5W-30 ) according to the Owner Guide
WEll it all depends on the fuel system on the truck and motor if hey are the same u should be good... but one may be a tbi system and that's where u might need to do a little tweaking on your set ups.
Put a potato in the exhaust pipe.
have take motor and trans out 1996 Honda accord put timing belt
First you will have to take the motor out and separate the Transmission from the motor, then you have to take the clutch off of the flywheel and put the new one on with an alignment tool, then you put it all back together.
I use Mobile 1
Yep. The only difference is that make sure a V6 goes where a V6 was (3.0 or 4.0). Dont put a 4 cylinder into a truck that had a 6 cylinder. They wont match up to the transmission. And whatever you do dont try and put a 6 cylinder into a 4 bangers tranny. It wont work. The motor mounts are different and the trannsmission cant handle the extra power and torque. You'll end up… Read More
you take the mounts of and put new ones on dah

What would you have to do to convert a motor from fuel injection to carburetor for a 1994 Chevrolet caprice?
first you need to see if u can put a manual pump and a rod if so just put a carburetor intake on your motor and a vac disturber on it
The easiest way would be to get an entire wiring harness/ECU from the 1994 and put it into the 1988 with the motor. This will eliminate any splicing or cutting you may need to do otherwise.
I have a 94' Q45 motor and transmission in my 1991 Q45 - so the answer is "probably".
no completely different motor
Disconnect the battery. Remove the door panel. unbolt the door lock motor, and remove the wiring plug. Replace the motor and put the panel back on.
if its a 1987-1994 unhook the coolant tank unplug heater motor and 5 or 6 bolt off heater motor and you are done to put on reverse process
Yes it is possible
Yes you just have to take the plug out of the head to put in the distributor.
Toyota Avalon 1996 Should you put water in radiator ever or should I only put coolant in the coolant resevior?
Never put just straight water in your motor. You want to top off your radiator first then top off your coolant in the reservoir. Water will rust your motor from the inside out.
could be motor mounts, does the engine "rock" when you put it in gear? Have someone put it in gear while you look under the hood.
ruffly around 5 qts. give or take
It can be done, but it won't be a simple "plug and play" swap.
yes, u can make anything fit if you know what you are doing
What could be causing a vibration on a 1994 Chevy Berettawhen the car starts or is put into gear or is driven?
Ptobably a motor or trans mount. Have them checked out.
change the motor mounts and get the computer and wiring harness out of the donor car that the small block came out of.
yes, but you have to rig the water hoses differently. (I put an '89 motor into a '92-same thing) yes, but you have to rig the water hoses differently. (I put an '89 motor into a '92-same thing)
change the rear end gear, put in a stall (2400), stronger suspension, cold air induction, computer chip, headers, high flow cats, flowmaster mufflers.
the short answer to this question is yes you can. there are kits to help you.
you need to loosen front motor mounts, take the bolts out, use crow bar to pull motor forward, put motor mount bolt through the hole, this holds the motor forward, then you can get to the back plugs
First what motor is in the van? Than tell me what it does before it stalls or you put it in gear. There many different possiables that it could be.
i just put a 4.6 in a 1994, the oil sending unit is located right on the oil filter bracket, ( where the oil filter screws on ) it has one wire that pushes onto it,
Under the front and rear exhaust manifold in the center of the motor where they go on the motor if u shine a light in their u should see it or put u hand inside when motor is cold u should feel it
I'm shure that it can be done. However, in the case of putting a 1994 motor into a 1992 car has became more work money and time then i believe its worth.
yes, but depends on manuel or electric. if electric you will need to switch everything wire harness motor in door and then you are ready to go.
the b18b1 is a dual overhead cam 1.8l engine produced by Honda motor company. It was put in some 1990-1993 acura integras and was put in 1994-01 Acura Integra LS.
Yes you can, they have bolt in motor mount kits at 4x4parts.com. There are several V8 D21's out there, look around.
follow your upper radiator hose back to the engine.there will be a round housing that is retained buy two bolts underneith thet is the thermostat. make sure that you put in the new thermostat in thesame direction you removed it.
I put a 95 Grand Am transmission in my 94 and it works great!!!
Legally, in North America, you can only use an engine for a vehicle that is as old or older than the engine. For example, you could put the 1996 engine into a 1994 Caravan (if possible) but not into a 1998 Caravan. The block, heads, and manifolds are the same from 1996 to 2000.
