∙ 2011-09-12 15:49:51Everything would have to be transferred. All wiring, computer control stuff, absolutely everything. These are two COMPLETLY different engines altogether. You could do it, but it would just about amount to switching radiator caps because you would have to switch everything.
i did the change over, any human being with good knowledge to LEARN and take time to do the project it can be done. motor, tranny, ecu with the harness that extends from motor to above gas tank and to the evap canister. you will need drive shafts, shift linkage (if manual) cause that's what my car is. motor mount, i would recommend swapping the guage cluster. if you have the ignition that came with the original motor and key that's great, if you don't, go to dealer they charged me 40 bucks and i had a locksmith program my key for 80, at the dealer to get a key made its best to know your vin number saves alot of time. i just recomment getting a donor car that's wrecked either from autcion or wherever.

It depends on the model of Ford Focus : Some have SOHC ( SPI / Split Port Induction ) engines Some have a DOHC Zetec engine , etcetera

well it calls for 5w30 for my 2000 dohc zetec engine.
no it has a timing chain if it sohc,but if its a zetec dohc (early models) or diesel,yes
