While it seems the same caliber and the round is "almost" the same size, the answer is no. Not safely. The .22lr round does not extend long enough for the round to enter the throat of the barrel. When fired there is a split second where the round has to "find the hole" This can lead to excessive breech pressure and excessive leading at the throat and begining of the rifleing. The other drawback is the extractor will not reliably remove the spent cartridge.
Marlin recomends shooting Remington shells. I bought that same rifle and there was a coupon inside the box for $5 off your first box of shells from Remington. Remington now owns Marlin, so what else would Marlin recomend shooting?
Your rifle should be chambered for .22 Magnum. As such, the chamber is too long and too big for .22 Long Rifle and, if the shell will fire, the case will usually split. Not recommended.
Yes it will as well as 22 short and long rifle, but the rifle will only shoot the 22 LR shells as a Semi auto and the shorts and longs you will have to manually cycle the gun by hand
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, they are different sizes.
NO! Your Marlin model 30aw(all weather) was chambered in 30-30Win.That is the only cartridge that will fire correctly in your rifle.
I have a marlin 55 12 Ga and Im wondering if it shoots 3" and 3 3/4" shells and if steel shots are recommended for the barrel?
It could be done, yes.
IF a rifle is chambered in caliber .35y magnum, yes. Among others, Marlin made a lever action .357 magnum rifle.
One could watch videos on rifle shooting on YouTube. Other instructional videos on how to shoot a rifle include DailyMotion and Vimeo. Many video viewing services demonstrate how to shoot a rifle.
If it is marked ,22 LR, yes.
Have it examined by a good gunsmith
