I wouldn't recommend housing them together. Their needs are not the same and they are too different otherwise to be housed together. Not to mention there have been cases of birds of the same species attacking one another so it is not wise to have different species together.
Yes, you can put them in the same cage, but make sure they're around the same age.

Actually, It's recommended that you don't keep 2 different species in the same cage. The birds could get territorial or fight and when you have a size difference like in cockatiels and parakeets, the small one might get hurt. But, with a lot of patience and SLOWLY introducing them to each other, eventually they might get to liking each other!
Just remember to have 2 food and 2 water bowls so they don't fight! Also make sure they have a big enough cage!! It would also help to have 2 of the same toys so they don't fight.
I don't think that's such a good idea. Unless its the parent and offspring, its fine. But if its nonrelated, don't bother. If you really want to have them in the same cage, let them sit in different cages next to each other so you can see their reaction to each other. If they are fine after a few days, slowly introduce them by hand.
Becarful, my baby sun conure was almost killed by my 2 lovebirds. I had 3 cockatiels living together in one cage (2 parents & one older offspring), the 3 adults looked after the 3 chicks. The only problem is now a year on when the parent male is fighting with the older offspring and the younger male is attacking the parent male, usually out of the cage. The best thing is always to watch how they interact & separate if there are any problems but these birds are very socialble birds & not like lovebirds.
Cockatiels are parakeets.
The term "parakeet" is a generalised term to cover numerous species of smaller, long-tailed parrots. The word tends to be used in countries outside of the birds' native lands. For example, the term "parakeet" is never used in Australia to refer to budgies, lorikeets or cockatiels, yet these birds are commonly known as "parakeets" overseas.
All these families of parrots can live together perfectly well, but they will not always breed.
I have coCkatiel and finches too. I have kept in seperate cages. I ha e kept finches with small doves. The man who arranged my cages said they will be better with doves. Even though they sometime fight. I think putting cockatiel and finches in one cage is a bad option
Lovebirds are mostly very aggressive with other birds, I guess it can be done if the two birds were introduced correctly and if they get along. If you have not introduced them yet, I don't reccomed you do because if something happens your cockatiel could die. You introduce them by putting one on each hand and making them meet from a distance.
Yes, but males may fight and a male and female may mate.
Possibly. Start with putting the cages next to each other. Cockatiels are normally sociable birds, but there may be exceptions.
its just like ducs. they keep the eggs warm. so your bird is kepping those eggs warm. they wont die. i can garrentee that.
What pet birds can you put with parakeets? Can you mix Finches, parakeets, doves, and canarys?
It really all depends on the birds personalities. Parakeets of good nature, and Cockatiels of a similar nature are good together. If there is any aggression between the two before you put them in the cage together, then keep them separated. The parakeet could get severely injured.
Yes, Parakeets love to have company in their cage, two mail parakeets would be fine together.
Noodles should be fine for parakeets, as an occasional treat. Don't feed them egg noodles (although these are probably still okay). My cockatiel likes spicy ramen soup. I've had to keep him from climbing into the bowl.
Yes
My cockatiel has never caught an upper respiratory virus that my husband of I have had.
Put them next to eachother.
I definetly reccmmend a cockatiel because I have had both of them and the cockatiel seems much more friendly and energetic and shows its love for humans. Plus, you can teach them to speak. A parakeet just wont do any of that.Yes, Cockatiels ARE the best choice of bird, in my opinion.
I don't see how you could, but if you mean by the neck, that is a very bad idea!
PARAKEETS!
The possessive form of the plural noun parakeets is parakeets'.Example: The parakeets' cages are cleaned daily.
