Can you run 480V motor on a 380V system Have is 480v 60hz 3 phase equipment and moving to a country with 380V 50HZ power supply?

It will probably run but not correctly. Low voltage will cause the motor to draw less amps than it's designed to. It will not reach its rated RPMs and such slow operation may shorten its operating life.

∙ 12y agoTypically 10% over voltage is OK. You should verify 415 volts is actually 415, though. A small buck/boost transformer could be used if necessary.
