Yes- HOWEVER- be sure that the rifle is an ANTIQUE. Both California and Federal law have a specific definition of what makes a firearm an ANTIQUE. The particular gun must have been made prior to 1899, or it is a muzzle loading type firearm that uses loose ball and powder, without regard to when it was made.

If it is NOT an antique, and ownership is being transferred across a state line, then the rifle must be shipped TO a Federal Firearms License holder, such as a dealer, in the State of California.
