Can you still get suboxone if you go to the clinic and you never been before and they find suboxone in your system will they still treat you?

they will want to know where you got it from. be honest even if you got it illegally, they will treat you. if you got it from another doctor they will call this doctor and discuss how they are now treating you or they will call your pharmacy and find out how you have been getting it. you might get flagged and all doctors will know which clinic is treating you, so then only there can you get it.

I wouldn't fight that battle. Just find another methadone clinic or get on suboxone. I went to a clinic for years before suboxone came along and can't even imagine having to go back to a clinic. Suboxone has made my life so much better and helps in so many ways. I didn't even know that the government owned clinics either or have never heard of it. Are you sure it is government owned. All clinics get government money but are not necessarily government owned. Sorry, if I wasn't much help.

No, taking the suboxone will cause you to withdrawl from the methadone NEVER take those two together or you will withdrawl severely and possibly worse can happen. If you are wanting off methadone then I suggest suboxin but never combine those two together, EVER>

Tragically no. Suboxone saved my life and I have seen it do the same for many others. I have led a great life and will be graduating with my Masters from OSU soon. Before suboxone I was a heroine addicted homeless high school drop out. I have been on suboxone for four years and my doctor is trying to force me out the program because it has been "long enough." I know many people that take suboxone daily and lead wonderful, happy and productive lives that they never could have imagined before suboxone. Only 3% of addicts ever stop using, and if you find one that has a system working for them for the love of God don't take it away from them unless you enjoy destroying other's lives. May whoever reads this realize there is no need for some suboxone patients to ever stop maintenance, by staying on suboxone they are leading clean, healthy lives. A patient should decide whether or not they are ready to stop suboxone or methadone. By staying on maintenance they are harming no one, so why take from these miraculous few that actually escaped the very tool they use to stay clean?
Does suboxone have morphine in it?
Yes it has Bupremorhpine in it, which is a semi-synthetic opiate. Not pure like morhpine, but it is an opiate of sorts never the less. You can't get high off suboxone if that's what you are wondering anyway.

In my rural town of Pennsylvania people male or female are not permit to take their subs in jail, which i think is completely wrong because addiction is a disease, that's like them knowing you have a deadly disease and not getting you help. I guess they think they are the same as oxys/dope. Shows how smart the jail council is, lol I have been to jail many times and never got my suboxone in jail. They will probably laugh at you. You have a better chance of getting methadone then suboxone in jail. I have of hears that some city jails take you to your methadone clinic if you already go, but this is rare. I would say that you are unfortunately screwed here. I would try to go ahead and stop before you go to jail so you won't experience the worst withdrawals in jail, because that is the worst place to have withdrawals.

What is the max dose of suboxone until the antagonist kicks in?
Should never take more than 16mg at a time, and only take that amount if you have been taking other high doses of opiates for an extended period of time. Even then suboxone should not be taken until all opiates are completely out of your system or you risk getting VERY sick, trust me on this. Wait at least 12 hours before taking suboxone after your last use of an opiate, unless it is methadone in that case you will need to wait at least 48 hours. The antagonist you speak of is called naloxone, which is also know as narcan and is used to treat overdose of opiates. But when suboxone is taken sublingually(under your tongue) most of the naloxone is rendered inactive. It is mainly in there to keep people from "shooting up" the suboxone. Bupremorphine is active ingredient in suboxone and is a semi-synthetic opiate itself. That is what take away the withdrawal symptoms. Message me if you have any other questions about Suboxone. UPDATE!!-- Bruce5890 Dosing higher then 16mg is ok. I believe the maximum dose before the naloxone starts working is 32mg. I know this is true because my doctor asked if I needed a higher dose and I am already at 24mg and sometimes takes 32.
