Can you still get the effects of an Electric guitar with an Ovation Electric-Acoustic?
The Ovation is a fine acoustic guitar different only by the amplification factor. It was designed to amplify its body acoustics and not for heavy based effects like distortion. However, being amplified means that you can still use some good effects. Many professionals like an ethereal sound by adding a small amount of chorus, reverb and maybe a touch of flanger or phaser.

I'm loving Ovation acoustics , they have a fresh look to them that people will know from the other end of a stadium , excellent prices and compared to the outragous prices some companies can go up to Ovation is very affordable. I played 30-50 acoustics in my life in the 100 to 2000$ range and I keep going back to Ovation.

The value of an Ovation Patriot guitar is whatever a reasonable buyer is willing to pay. I paid $1,000 for mine, which has the electric feature. Only 10% of them have this feature. I love it.
