You didn't have the title to begin with. The loan company or bank does. So, you didn't loose it, but you may loose the car since it is in default . The loan company/bank owns the car, not you.
It is illegal to sell a car that you do not have a title to, and someone else will not be able to register it until they have one. To be in default means you do not as yet own the car the finance company does, any arrangements made to get rid of the car must include paying off the loan in its entirety or letting it go back to the holder of the title.
Not making the entire payment is still a default on payment. You will be charged the late fee and you will need to make it right with the bank or they will start the process of repo.
To my knowledge, the lender can ONLY repo when the loan is in DEFAULT. Does your acct. being minus put you in default????
The bank can legally repossess a car at any time you default on the loan regardless of the vehicles value or the amount past due. If your car payment is due on April 1st and you don't pay than you are legally in default on your contract. If you make a partial payment (less than the amount you agreed to pay in your contract every month) and the bank didnt agree to this arrangement then you are still in default. The best bet would be to pay the $128 before the car is repossessed or to pay the back balance owed if it has already been repossessed.
pay your bill Paid 3 months back current payment due and bank has issued repo Who can help until can get caught up
Not legally...
No, you cannot register a car you do not own. In order to register a car, you have to have the title.
GOOD question. Read the contract. Were you in default of it?? Why didnt you TAKE the car back? Why did they have to come get it?
Then you still owe the bank.
Yes, The insurance of a vehicle has no bearing on where the car is purchase or register.
Yes, the day you register it, you will pay taxes.
