Can you take Claritin and Ultracet at the same time?
Check with a doctor or pharmacist.
Yes, they are considered safe to take together. There are no significant drug interactions between Claritin and acetaminophen. Tylenol (acetophenimen) is an over-the-counter analgesic and fever reducer (considered safe when taken as directed). Claritin is an over-the-counter antihistamine (consid…ered safe when taken as directed). ( Full Answer )
Advil is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and also a pain reliever. Claritin is an antihistamine type medication. They work differently and should be fine to take together as long as you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
one would have to talk to their doctor. That is only something a doctor can give the okay on.
A professional should be consulted before mixing any medications whether prescription or over the counter. A doctor or pharmacist can warn of any possible interactions. In the case of Allegra and Claritin, there is a duplication of ingredients that can have harmful effects.
Since Claritin-D contains both loratadine and pseudoephedrine combined then common sense tells you that you can take both regular Claritin and Sudafed together with no dangerous interactions (but not Claritin-D as you would be then exceeding the recommended dose of pseudoephedrine). Or you …can simply buy Claritin-D and save a few bucks. ( Full Answer )
Yes. The two are very different and act on different parts of the body. Everyone is different as to how they react to drugs but typically these two are very safe to take together when taken appropriately.

I don't recommend it. I took a Claritin D in the morning and it wouldn't let me sleep that night so I took an Ambien. I stopped breathing during my sleep (mixing uppers with downers took lots of rock stars from us). I awoke only after my body began to shut down and I was gasping for air and almost… blacking out. 50 yr old health male. Others I know take Claritin D with no problem. Definitely not for me. The generic brand does not effect me that way. Actives: Claritin uses HCL whereas the generic uses Sulfate. ( Full Answer )
i dont think you can but im only in 7th grade but i heard it on t.v. when i was watching that commercial
Ultracet is a narcotic drug that is used to treat moderate tosevere levels of pain. It is made up of tramadol and acetaminophen.
I asked the pharmacist that question and he said it was fine. I am taking vicotin 5mg and my allergies are acting up so i am taking 24 hr claritin and i feel fine. If you feel weird about it just call your local Walgreen's and ask the pharmacist on staff.
I asked my pharmacist this very same question and he says you can but by taking the claritin d you may get more anxiety
I called the pH # on the Zicam box and asked that question about the Zicam Nasal Gel and Claritin - I was told yes and that there are no known drugs that interact because all the Ziam cold remedy gel swabs are really is zinc. pharmacist at CVS told me 24 hour claritin taken in the morning and NyQuil taken that night would be ok.
\nseems that yes it is ok to take them both, based on some reviews made from pharmacists here in the web.
I am not positive but I think so. I take it with Allegra and it's used for allergies.. ___. Yes, there is no problem in taking those 2 drugs together.
I'm not familiar with thera-flu, but doesn't that have a antihistamine in it? If so, you wouldn't want to take extra antihistamine. If thera-flu doesn't have a antihistamine, it would be fine to take. If you see the words diphenhydramine chloride, that would be a antihistamine in thera-flu.
I'm doing both right now. I don't recommend it but it's definitely helping my sinus-infection. If it's that bad, go for it.
Flonase and Claritin CAN be taken together but make sure you read the directions for both and aren't taking any other medication that can counteract the effects of either medication.

Yes you can. I have bad allergies and asked my Dr. if I could take the claritin with the midol, he said no problem.
I think it depends on what theraflu you are taking. Call your doctor or pharmacist
Yes. There are no known interactions, but this doesn't mean they don't exist. Be aware of any side effects if taken together.
A child should not take Benadryl along with Claritin. These two medicines do pretty much the same thing. There would be a chance of overdosing if you gave your child both of these at the same time.
Yes, for the most part they are the same thing do to the fact that they are a Antihistamine.
You may get very tired, but they are completely different drugs, you should be fine.
As far as I can tell, Claritin is advertised as a non-drowsy anti-histamine. As such, it should not affect Ambien in it's ability to sedate and easy the user into sleep.
Probably, but you have to be able to swallow both at once. Have a glass of water available.
No, you do not take two antihistamines at the same time. You may choose either benadryl OR Claritin, but not both. Overdosing on antihistamines causes severe sedative effects which might make you become confused or pass out. You might have trouble breathing. You will get twice the drying out effects…, and will almost certainly get a splitting sinus headache or nosebleed. ( Full Answer )
Yes. Drink plenty of fluids. Use Tylenol, aspirin or an NSAID for fever or headache. This applies to Claritin (Loratadine) and not Claritin D (Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine) For Claritin D Yes. These medications each contain two drugs that treat two different conditions. Mucinex DM is an expe…ctorant/cough suppressant. Claritin D is an antihistamine decongestant. Avoid Claritin D if you have high blood pressure or heart problems. If you develop a fever, take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (ibuprofen) with any of these. It depends on what dosage of each med you are taking. You should always ask your Doctor before mixing Rxs, because he/she knows your personal health history. If all else fails you can call poison control to find out if it's normally safe.
my friend did it and was acting really funny and said he blacked out for a few seconds. i wouldnt recommend it
I took 2 Allegra and 2 Claratin at the same time. My runny nose was clear after 12 hours and now all I am experiencing is sinus pressure and headache. I haven't been drowsy. I am very sensitive to pollen and grass so when summer is starting my nose runs like a leaky faucet. Im not saying this is goo…d practice but it beats dripping snot all over my desk, keyboard, food, papers, snow cones, girl friend, beer, pillow, shirt, car seat, handshakes, laundry, mouth, lips, hands, or any electrical appliances etc. you probably know what I mean if your contemplating mixing meds. Taking Claritin and Hydrocodone should present no specific problem. Claritin D does have a decongestant added (pseudoephedrine) that could raise blood pressure and heart rate a small amount especially in higher dosages but still should not interfere with the analgesic action of hydrocodone. Personally, no. Some people like it better than Percocet. I take pain pills for well, pain, and Ultracet does nothing at all for me. Others disagree.
In my case, the answer is yes. I have asthma, and seasonal allergies. I have been on claritin for years, but this year i have had significant nasal allergies that the claritin hasn't prevented, such as post nasal drip, which then causes congestion and asthma flare ups. So my Pulmonologist just presc…ribed Atepro nasal spray to be taken daily along with claritin. ( Full Answer )
They are not exactly the same. Loratadine is the active ingredient in Claritin (and its generic form), but the "D" in Claritin D refers to the decongestant, pseudoephedrine... so, Claritin D is a combination of loratadine and pseudoephedrine. It's basically like combining regular Claritin with regul…ar Sudafed. If you have no congestion, you don't need the "D". Always ask a doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure or need more information. Yep. Or at least I hope you can, because I just did; 5mg loratadine and 0.5mg clonazepam... Asked pharmacist, and he said it was okay.
Yes. Claritin is an antihistamine and Advil is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) med, and they are completely safe taken together. The saline spray is basically a salt water used to flush the sinuses, and is safe to use with these two drugs, as well.
That's a bit like wearing a belt and suspenders. Call your health care provider for advice specific to your situation.
Surprisingly enough, the answer is yes. Claritin is safe to use for dogs to relieve itching. Claritin-D should not be used on dogs, as it contains pseudoephedrine. Also, Claritin contains propylene glycol and should not be used on cats. Dosage for dogs is about half of the recommended human dosage …for medium sized dogs, and about a quarter dosage for small dogs. ( Full Answer )
This combination would not be expected to cause any significant drug interaction and would generally be considered safe. As Cipro is a prescription drug, it should only be used (singly or with Claritin) under the supervision of a physician.
Generally speaking it is safe to take expired medication. However, it should be noted that the concentration of active ingredient in the medication is likely to be reduced. For certain drugs (anti-seizure medications, antibiotics, others), this may be dangerous. In the case of ultracet, the expired …medication will likely be less effective, though not dangerous. Because there is no way to quantify the degree to which the medication has decomposed, do not take additional tablets in an effort to achieve a "full dose." That would be dangerous. ( Full Answer )
I wouldn't recommend taking sudaphed and claritin together. Taking cephalexin with either would be okay.
Yes, this drug combination may be taken together by a hypothetical patient without significant drug interaction. Patients should discuss their individual drug use with a doctor or pharmacist.
Yes, from personal experience. I take methadone and i also take claritin all the time. But....see below Once again, i am not a pharmacist, nor do i have any pharmacological training, so, be careful out there!
You can take them both on the same day. As long as you take them as if you were going to take the same medicine. Such as following the recommended does and the time schedule in which you take them.
