In low dosages, yes it is safe. There are restrictions on who can take these drugs and when/with what other medications, but that is a whole different topic altogether. A

The combination of a salicylate (aspirin) and ibuprofen (which are both NSAIDs) may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. It is advised to not take these two medications together at the same time, especially in high doses. If both medications are needed / required; Ibuprofen should be administered 30-120 minutes after, or at least 8 hours before, aspirin. It is also advised to talk to your doctor when combining these two drugs.

Also, aspirin and ibuprofen cancel out each others effects and shouldn't be taken together.

-Aspirin is taken to prevent heart attacks and strokes. Like ibuprofen it also relieves fever, pain and inflammation.

-Ibuprofen is taken to relive pain, fever and inflammation with less effect on platelets

According to the Mayo Clinic (related link) taking ibuprofen greatly reduces the benefits of daily aspirin therapy.

The best advice is almost always TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.

If the use of both drugs is unavoidable, use aspirin first, then wait for 4 hours before using ibuprofen.

Answer:

You shouldn't be mixing aspirin with anything, or mixing ibuprofin with anything.

Aspirin has been known to cause Reys Syndrome in children under 19.

Follow the dosages on the box with the aspirin or the ibuprofin.

I don't recommend taking both together, unless specifically told so by a doctor.

Ibuprofin can cause stomach bleeding in large doses, so choose wisely.

Use of aspirin with other pain relievers (such as Tylenol, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, ketoprofen or prescription pain relievers) is not recommended, unless directed by your doctor.

You should not take these two medications together without checking with your doctor, because the combination carries a high risk. A person should only take these medications together if their doctor approves it.

yes you can its totally fine ---- NO!!!

yes you can i am allergic and i take it !!

Although they are different drugs, Aspirin and Ibuprofen both belong to the same group of drugs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs). Therefore they work in similar ways and have similar properties. It is therefore advisable NOT to take Ibuprofen if you are allergic to aspirin and you should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you wish to take it.

Usually, yes you can, they are not the same medicines. Both are NSAIDs however Ibuprofen does not thin your blood, nor should it cause an allergic reaction if you are allergic to aspirin.

Always check with your doctor if you are unsure about taking a medication.
