∙ 12y agoChantix messed me up. I was on 30 RX of Adderall for ADHD. I took the chantix for 3 days but it exasperate my adhd. I got really hyper and couldn't focus long enough to drive safely to work.... Let alone work:) I had no effects of the adderall and I started drinking a little caffeine. Still no effects. I talked to doctor and asked if this was normal and he said yes. He said to stop taking Adderall for 5 days to reset my brain. I did just that! I last took Chantix 3 weeks ago. I took my reg script I have been taking of adderall for the first time today after being med free for 5 days and I still cant focus. The only effect adderall is having is keeping me up when I want to be asleep. I hope my meds for adhd will work soon. I don't wanna get fired and I'm falling way behind at work. I have been smoke free for 3 weeks too. I took chantix for 3 days and it made me to adhd so I stopped and promise myself that if I stopped taking the pill I had to stop smoking!

∙ 13y agoI asked my doc that very same question today, as I just got prescribed adderall xr and I am currently taking chantix. He said there is no problem to take both and that it would be fine. Hope that helps.

I currently take 60 mg of generic Adderall (amphetamine salts) 3x/day and my psychiatrist prescribed Chantix to help me quit smoking because, in his opinion, Wellbutrin and Adderall should not be mixed. I found that the Adderall made my cigarette cravings much more intense and felt that I couldn't quit smoking without medical help. Before I started taking Adderall, I was an occasional smoker who could stop at will. With Adderall, I became a regular 1/2 pack a day smoker.
I'm on day 2 of Chantix and so far, I've found that my cigarette and alcohol cravings are way down, I feel calmer, more focused, more productive and generally pretty good. Apparently there are some studies in the works to test the hypothesis that Chantix can be an effective ADD treatment. I think the Adderall offsets the tiredness that Chantix can sometimes cause. Interestingly, the Chantix takes away the speedy "edgy" feeling that Adderall can sometimes cause (especially at the end of the day).

∙ 13y agoYes, this is a possible combination. However, it is important to watch for any changes of mood, especially depression in mood (and even suicidal thoughts). Chantix has had reports of serious psychological side effects that can be adverse in any situation.

∙ 9y agoChantix and Synthroid can be used at the same time under a doctor's supervision only. Synthroid is used for thyroid problems. Chantix is a medication to help people quit smoking.

No way. Chantix is a pill that works for cigarettes in a way that methadone works for heroin addicts. it does not produce any euphoric or pleasurable effects, it only blocks the pleasure receptors that nicotene usually activates. Therefore, eliminates the effects of nicotene and reduces cravings at the same time. Dont take chantix to get high.
Can you take phenphedrine while taking adderall?
don't take them both at the same times, because both of those drugs are stimulants and when I took them at the same time o got several side effects and honestly I've been on adderall for so long and phenphedrine does a lot better at curbing my appetite then adderall

i know you can do lexapro and adderall at the same time since i am personal prescribed to both. I am not sure what lamictal is though. Just try to take the adderall in the morning and take the lexapro at night since they would work against each other and would cause more than needed stess on your liver.

You really shouldn't be on a prescription for Adderall and Xanax at the same time. It's possible that Adderall could potentiate the effects of the xanax. That means that if you mix them, you normal dose of Xanax could knock you out. It also depends on if you are taking Adderall because you have been diagnosed with ADD. The effects of Adderall are different for people who do not have ADD.
