I have taken both of these at the same time. These were prescribed by two doctors. Then, about 6 weeks later, I was admitted to the hospital with pseudomembranous colitis, toxic megacolon, diverticulitis, and sepsis. They did not hold out much hope that I would live. My colon was removed and I did survive to go through 5 more surgeries.
My condition was caused by antibiotic use. And, metronidazole if often used to treat my condition? But the combination is a deadly one. I have had several conversations with others on the internet (including U.K.) and they have had similar results?
