As LG have copied their 3D technology from movie theaters, passive movie theater glasses will work with them.
Other manufacturers have adopted active 3D technology and theater glasses will not work with them.

∙ 11y agoThat really depends on the type of your 3D tv at home. If you have an active 3D TV (Samsung, Panasonic), then no, you can't use movie theater glasses at home. If you have a passive 3D model, then you can use those at home. I think Toshiba also makes passive 3D TVs but I don't have too much info on those but I'd think that you should be able to.

∙ 12y agoFor now, no. You'll only get dizzy and won't be able to enjoy any 3D effect. Right now, 3D without glasses is only available in some phones and portable game devices but technology is being developed and it is just a matter of time before we can all watch 3D TV without the glasses!
There are two Toshiba without glasses 3D models released in Japan only. Reports suggest that they have not had great success in sales.
There are a number of dfferent solutions for delivering 3D TV without glasses. Non of these are fully developed yet, although some have been demonstrated at various exhibitions.

∙ 12y agoYes. You can. Most 3D TVs are built with such a high specification that the 2D images you'll see on them are of exceptional quality. They're built that way because they need that high specification to deliver the best 3D imaging possible.

∙ 11y agoIf your watching the movies on a laptop or other computer then no because they don't have 3D capabilities. If you are streaming 3D movies with your 3D TV then yes you can. Just make sure that you have a 3D TV.
