Does Microsoft Vista work with Microsoft Office 2002?

Yes, you can run MS Office 2002 on a Vista computer. However, I think the version numbers are 2000 and 2003 -- I am not aware of an Office 2002 for the PC -- maybe the MAC. If that is the case, then you would not be able to run the MAC version of Office on a Vista computer.

Why did Microsoft make office for mac if it's already so compatible with the PC version?

You have to buy software for the PC just as you do with a MAC. I assume you are referring to Microsoft office? If so most PCs do not come with a full version and it must be purchased separately just as on a MAC. It is true that Apple's computers are very compatible. For example Pages can open and export to Microsoft Word doc files. Microsoft sells Microsoft Word to Mac owners in order to make money. Microsoft believes that some people want 'the real thing.' The iWork applications, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, cost Mac users USD$80. The Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student CD retail costs USD$108

How can you convert your MS office for PC so it works on your mac?

It is impossible because Mac OS and MS Office for Windows work in a completely different way. Microsoft did actually release a special edition of Microsoft Office for MacOS, but I do not know if they have any recent versions or if they even support it any more.
