Depends on if it's lawful where you are. If it is, I would not recommend a 22, regardless of load, unless you can put 10 rounds into a target the size of the eye at 50 yards.
I own a Stirling model 20 .22 semi auto and i find i to be a realy good rifle i have put pleanty of rounds throu it and havent had any jams. I recomend this rifle

the Model 77 with magazine ( clip fed ) holds 7 rounds of long riflel only. The tube feed model I believe held 15 rounds.
The Marlin model 1894 rifle in 32-20 Win.should hold 10 rounds of ammo.If this is a original model made from 1894-1934.
