It is better to pour water into flasks/bottles and leave it for a few days. Then you can pour it into your aquarium. But be careful not to disturb the sand or whatever you have at the bottom of the aquarium and also that the poured water is approximately the same temperature as the water already inside the bowl.
I do that with my fish.
... Of course, if your question concerned making fish drink the water, I think they won't mind whichever you use ;)
... And if you wanted to eat the fish, I guess you won't mind whichever water you use :)

∙ 14y agoWell water is simply water that has not been treated at a water treatment plant, and is usually fine to use in an aquarium. However, sometimes well water is extremely hard (high amounts of calcium salts), and this can restrict the type of fish you keep to hardwater species.
