Check to make sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight. Have the battery load tested. Test the charging system output. It takes at least 13.5 volts to charge a 12 volt battery.
Answer 1 - Vehicle Will Start When "Jumped"There could be several causes, but based on "...clicks once won't start starts when jumped.." suggests that there is something wrong within the cables or terminal clamps or connectors [corrosion inside that can't be observed] between the battery and solenoid, OR possibly a defective solenoid.
starter, solonoid, ignition, battery. if it clicks when you turn the key then the battery is really dead or its the starter the battery could still be jumped if its the battery.
Could be, the engine is seized, the starter is bad, dirty or loose battery connections, battery in vehicle being jumped is stone dead.
The starter solenoid/relay switch is going bad. Eventually, it will just click and not start.
the battery
Bad battery, starting motor or both.
The starter is probably at fault. Hit it with a hammer real good and if it starts it is the starter for sure. That won''t work but a few times.
the relay or the starter motor is stuffed
start with checking the battery, next check the solenoid, next check the starter motor.then check ignition switch
i might be wrong but it could be the 'bendex'. this is the part of the starter motor that disengages it after the engine turns on. it might not be fully disengaged from the previous trip. sometimes all that is needed to get it to go is to rock the car foreward or back a little. hope that helps.
Aaah sussed it - loose connection to solonoid - Doh!!!
faulty battery connection, Cold weather..wrong spark plugs..could be a number of things. Nthing major
